We thought we’d take a moment to share with you some of the wonderful feedback we’ve received from our guests. It’s always a joy to hear about the experiences of those who’ve stayed with us, and we’re truly humbled by their kind words.
One of the things our guests seem to appreciate most is our location. Our B&B is just a short walk from Canterbury city centre, which makes exploring Canterbury a breeze. As Elisa, who stayed with us in August, put it, “The b&b is just a ten minute walk from the centre and it was lovely.” We love hearing that our guests find it easy to immerse themselves in the rich history and culture of our beautiful city.
Cleanliness is something we take very seriously here at The Wincheap, and we’re delighted that our efforts don’t go unnoticed. Ian, another August guest, commented that the room was “spotlessly clean,” while Rosy M described everything as “excellent – spotlessly clean, 5 star room.” It’s feedback like this that motivates us to maintain our high standards.
We put a lot of thought into making our rooms comfortable and well-equipped. Jan, who visited in April, noted that “The decor in the bedroom is smart, comfortable and stylish,” adding that even though theirs was a small room, “it was perfect and well-equipped for a short stay (good shower, comfy bed and Tunnocks teacakes!!).” Yes, we do love surprising our guests with those little treats!
Breakfast is a highlight for many of our guests. We take pride in offering a variety of options, all prepared with care using quality ingredients. Hunt, who stayed with us in July, exclaimed, “Omg the breakfast was amazing lots to choose from.” Another recent guest elaborated, saying the breakfast was “delicious, filling and served in very good time, it kept us going all day.” Hearing that our breakfasts help fuel our guests’ Canterbury adventures always brings a smile to our faces.
We strive to make every guest feel welcome and at home. It warms our hearts when guests like Karen, who stayed in December, describe The Wincheap as “a cosy home from home.” Or when Anna, an April guest, mentions our “very warm welcome.”
We’re also touched by the thoughtfulness of our guests. Eric, who visited in August, shared a story that means a lot to us: “We did forget a pair of EarPods in the room and we found out after we departed. The owners were extremely helpful and did send them via post to our home in the Netherlands.” We’re always happy to go the extra mile for our guests, even after they’ve checked out.
Perhaps one of the most rewarding aspects of running The Wincheap is when guests tell us they plan to return. Susie, who’s already stayed with us twice, wrote, “This is the perfect B&B… We’ll be back again when she gets her Ph.D!!!” It’s guests like Susie who make what we do so worthwhile.
We’re not just providing a place to sleep; we’re offering a base from which to explore Canterbury, a home away from home, and hopefully, a memorable part of your journey. As Mark N. summed it up, “This is an excellent B&B.”
