The host was very welcoming, the room was clean and perfect for our overnight stay. The breakfast was amazing, plenty to choose from the night before and plenty to eat. Delicious!

A perfect location just a 10 minute walk into Canterbury Town centre. Parking is available just a couple of minutes away which is a huge bonus. Would definitely recommend the Wincheap, very high standards and excellent breakfast choices.

Enjoyed our stay for three nights thoroughly. The place is spotlessly clean and comfortable. Our hosts are immensely hospitable and accommodating. Conveniently located, walking distance to city centre. Highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Canterbury.

Excellent breakfast with good vegetarian options. I think being a few minutes walk from the town centre meant it was in quieter area at night so there wasn't outside disturbances, but I felt safe walking back a 10:30pm. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed for a short city break. I will certainly stay there again.

The owners were extremely helpful. We did forget a pair of EarPods in the room and we found out after we departed. The owners were extremely helpful and did send them via post to our home in the Netherlands. ????????????

The b&b is just a ten minute walk from the centre and it was lovely. The room was cozy and super clean. The staff was absolutely amazing, helpful and friendly. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning, with lots of choices and the food was delicious.

Very clean and comfortable - room lovely. Perfect location for a short weekend break. Easy to walk into the city centre. The hosts were very accommodating - I left my phone charger in the room and within a week it had been posted back to me!

Excellent location, 10 minutes walk into the centre of Canterbury. Hosts were very welcoming & the room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Free off road parking also a bonus. Would definitely stay here again when in the area. 10/10

All fabulous!
Everything was excellent - spotlessly clean, 5 star room, wonderful breakfast and hospitable hosts. Very well situated as the city centre is very close. Really appreciated being able to park on site as parking in city centres overnight can be tricky.

Wonderful house and nice staff. Very clean. Close to the city center. The breakfast is excellent. The house is on a busy road, but with closed windows (on the road side) you hardly hear anything.

Omg the breakfast was amazing lots to choose from and our hosts were so welcoming

We stayed here because of the close proximity to our son's student house. The owner, Terry was very welcoming and then allowed us to enjoy our stay. The room was spacious, extremely clean and well appointed with some lovely thoughtful touches. The breakfast (full English) was delicious, filling and served in very good time, it kept us going all day. The owners stayed in excellent communication with us with some helpful hints re parking. There is a little walk into Canterbury itself but going through the gardens makes this a lovely experience. I would highly recommend Wincheap B&B.

Rooms: We stayed in the room right at the top of the house. It was beautifully appointed with some lovely touches. All the fittings were in great working order with thoughtful extras such as a fan, minifridge and a comfortable chair. The ensuite was gorgeous being spacious with a large shower and plenty of room to manoeurve. The bed was extremely comfortable with soft sheets and an excellent size.

Great B and B for exploring Canterbury
Wincheap B and B is a great place to stay when visiting Canterbury.
Great location (just outside city walls and 15 minutes walk to cathedral), lovely spacious, comfortable, clean room with TV, fan, fridge, kettle, tea and coffee, and the breakfast is excellent.
Terry and Chris are great hosts, and gave us a map and suggested walking routes.
Highly recommend

Excellent in every aspect
We stayed in Room 3 on the first floor. It's described as a small double but was more than adequate for our 4 night stay. Designated free parking is behind the BnB, a 2 minute walk away, although there is on street parking right outside to unload if you need to. Terry and Chris, the owners, are really nice people and gave us a really warm welcome. The place is absolutely spotlessly clean and the breakfast was freshly cooked and very nice and well presented. What more do you want from a BnB!!
The city centre is about a 10 minute walk away along Castle St. There is a lovely little vinyl shop on the way too, which is always a bonus.

A wonderful B&B.
This is a small B&B which is warm and welcoming. The room was so comfortable and bright. The breakfast is cooked fresh and is very tasty. It set us up for the day ahead. It is so handy for exploring this wonderful city and Terry was on hand to offer good advice about the area.
Overall, a lovely visit and one that we would like to repeat.
Highly recommend this lovely B&B.

Smart, stylish and welcoming
The decor in the bedroom is smart, comfortable and stylish. Although ours was a small room, it was perfect and well-equipped for a short stay (good shower, comfy bed and Tunnocks teacakes!!)

Terry and Chris are excellent hosts - welcoming and friendly. Nice to have tasty different breakfast options (the eggs Benedict and the French toast both recommended) as well as the classic full English.

We wondered about the location when we booked - and OK, a small industrial/business estate is not the loveliest of views - but with a 15-min walk into the centre and private parking it was absolutely fine for us.

Excellent!
Great stay at the Wincheap! Lovely room, spotlessly clean. Great communication beforehand and a very warm welcome when we arrived.

It’s around a 10-15 minute walk to the city centre to all main attractions, restaurants, cafes etc. there is parking at the back of the hotel.

We slept very well and had a delicious breakfast the next morning.

Thank you, we will book again! ????

“Perfect place for visiting Canterbury.. a cosy home from home”
Amazing breakfast cooked to order in the morning. We were happy to find such nice accomodation that is walking distance to the city centre that also had parking available. Our hosts were very accomodating and made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived.

Guest from Corringham 12th December, 2023

The hosts were really lovely and very helpful. The location was fine for us as we don’t mind a walk and only took us about 10 minutes to walk to the centre. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, lovely tea tray and toiletries. Good choice of breakfast the next morning. Great ingredients, cooked perfectly. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return next time I visit Canterbury.

Great stay
We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and given lots of information about Canterbury. We had the suite which was very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts on both days was very enjoyable with plenty of choice for continental and cooked. Will definitely book again.

Weekend getaway treat
Myself and my husband booked a couple of nights in this B&B to catch up with friends in Canterbury over the weekend. Location was excellent and a short walk, about 10 minutes into the city centre. The B&B itself was immaculate. There are renovations going on to the front of the building, however this did not impede access in any way. The entrance was freshly decorated and it was reassuring to see that the lodgings are secure by way of a ring doorbell.
Terry met us on arrival and showed us to our room, which mirrored the rest of the house in its pristine condition.
Terry gave us information about the local area with a handy map identifying our location and surrounding attractions.
Bed was comfortable with additional pillows and blankets in the double wardrobe. Heating was on and had thermostatic control and the towel rail in the bathroom had a switch to allow self operation when required. There are tea and coffee facilities in the room and fresh milk available from the fridge in the breakfast room which is accessible 24/7. Tea cakes and biscuits were replaced daily when the room was being refreshed. This was a nice touch.
Breakfast was a hearty fayre with fresh fruit, croissants and cheeses and preserves freely available with a request for any hot food to be made the night before on a menu slip that was dropped into a basket in the entrance hall the evening before. Cooked English breakfast was fresh local produce and piping hot with additional toast or bread on request if desired.
The host was very attentive and we would definitely recommend staying there, as we may well do on future trips.
Many thanks Kay and Alan

Great B&B excellent location
The Windcheap B&B is located in an excellent position within walking distance of Canterbury city centre. Terry the host was very friendly and welcoming and was always providing helpful information. The room was beautifully decorated and clean. I would certainly recommend this to anyone.

Excellent accommodation and good location.
The Wincheap exceeded our expectations from the the information we recived beforehand and the welcome we received on arrival. Terry and Chris are excellent hosts and the accommodation is comfirtable and spotless. Terry cooks a good breakfast. The car parking is a bonus as Canterbury car parks seemed very busy. It took us about 15 minutes to walk to the Cathedral.
